The Correlation between Resilience, Self-efficacy and Illness Perception in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes: A Cross-Sectional Study

Background: The present study aims to investigate the correlation between resilience, self-efficacy, and illness perception in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus south of Iran. Materials methods: is a crosssectional work conducted on 405 who were selected via convenience sampling from clinics Iran, December 2019 July 2020. Data collected using questionnaire consisting four sections: demographics survey, Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), Lev’s Self-efficacy Scale, Broadbent’s Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (BIPQ). analysis was performed SPSS 22 software descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, ANOVA, multiple regression at p < 0.05 significance level. Results: results showed that there significant positive correlations participants’ resilience self-efficacy (r = 0.78, 0.001), 0.57, 0.76, 0.001). Conclusions: findings show mellitus. can successfully cope traumatic conditions caused by their have confidence ability perform self-care activities more view manageability condition. Therefore, healthcare policymakers nurses use interventions designed enhance order improve diabetic patients’ management.
